Perhaps it was because I went to bed so early that I woke up before dawn.
Going outside the tent, I found everything covered in such a deep fog.

I couldn't see anything.
It was a true whiteout.

I decided to give up on the idea of taking a walk, so I heated some water on the stove to brew my first coffee for that day.
And then after about an hour, a ball of yellowish light appeared both in the sky and on the surface of the lake.

There came two suns, in the morning haze, through the dense fog.
What a magnificent view. I started toward the tent to wake up my friends.
